Carefully remove the silken tofu from its package and place it over the sink or a bowl to drain any excess liquid. Silken tofu is very soft and delicate, so handle it gently to avoid breaking it apart too much. Allow it to drain for a few seconds so the mousse will have a thicker and creamier texture.
Transfer the drained tofu into a blender or food processor. Make sure the entire block is placed inside the blender jar so it blends evenly and creates a smooth base for the mousse.
Add 3 tablespoons of unsweetened cocoa powder and 2 scoops of vegan chocolate protein powder directly into the blender with the tofu. These ingredients provide the rich chocolate flavor and increase the protein content of the dessert.
Close the blender lid securely and blend the mixture for about 30–60 seconds. During this time, the tofu will break down and combine with the cocoa and protein powder to form a smooth, creamy mixture.
Stop the blender and use a rubber spatula to scrape down the sides of the blender jar. This ensures that any cocoa powder or protein powder stuck on the sides gets fully incorporated into the mousse.
Blend the mixture again for another 10–20 seconds until the texture becomes completely smooth, thick, and silky. The mousse should look glossy and creamy without any visible lumps.
Taste the mousse using a small spoon. If you prefer it sweeter, you can add a small drizzle of maple syrup, agave, or a little extra protein powder, then blend briefly again to combine.
Once the mousse is perfectly smooth and sweetened to your liking, use a spoon or spatula to transfer the mousse into small serving bowls or dessert glasses. Spreading it evenly will make it look more appealing when served.
Place the filled dessert bowls in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes. This chilling step allows the mousse to thicken slightly and develop an even richer, more luxurious texture.
After chilling, remove the mousse from the refrigerator and serve it cold. You can garnish the top with fresh berries, shredded coconut, cacao nibs, or dairy-free chocolate chips for extra flavor, texture, and visual appeal.
