- 500 g boneless skinless chicken breast sliced into strips
- 2 bell peppers sliced
- 1 medium yellow onion sliced
- 2 tbsp olive oil 30 ml, divided
- 2 tsp chili powder
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp onion powder
- ½ tsp kosher salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- Juice of 1 lime
- Fresh cilantro chopped (optional)
- 8 small tortillas optional
Prep: Slice chicken (500 g), peppers (2), and 1 onion. Pat chicken dry.
Season chicken: Toss chicken with 1 tbsp olive oil and 2 tsp chili powder, 1 tsp cumin, 1 tsp smoked paprika, ½ tsp garlic powder, ½ tsp onion powder, ½ tsp salt, and ¼ tsp pepper.
Season veg: Toss peppers & onion with remaining 1 tbsp oil and a pinch of salt + remaining spice if desired.
Preheat: Preheat air fryer to 200°C / 390°F for 3 minutes.
Cook chicken: Arrange chicken in a single layer; air fry 200°C / 390°F for 10–12 minutes, shaking at 5–6 minutes, until 74°C / 165°F internal temp. Remove and tent.
Cook veg: Place peppers & onions in basket; air fry 200°C / 390°F for 8–10 minutes, tossing halfway.
Combine: Return chicken to basket with veggies for 1–2 minutes at 200°C / 390°F to meld flavors. Squeeze lime, garnish cilantro.
Serve: Warm tortillas 30–45 seconds at 160°C / 320°F, fill, and enjoy.
