Allan
Keto Chili Cheese Dog Bake is an easy, hearty dinner that brings together beef hot dogs, homemade low-carb chili, and melted cheddar. It is made without traditional hot dog buns or beans, and the chili can be prepared ahead to simplify dinner. Keep the sauce thick, check product labels for hidden carbohydrates, and finish with mustard, pickles, or jalapeños for a classic chili cheese dog flavor.

- 8 beef hot dogs checked for added sugars and starches
- 1 lb ground beef
- ½ cup finely diced onion
- 2 garlic cloves minced
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 1 cup plain crushed tomatoes
- ½ cup beef broth
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ teaspoon salt or to taste
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- A little oil for greasing the baking dish
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a medium baking dish and arrange the hot dogs in a single layer.
Brown the ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat, breaking it into small pieces. Drain excess grease if needed.
Add the diced onion and cook for 3–4 minutes. Stir in the garlic and cook for another 30–60 seconds.
Add chili powder, cumin, smoked paprika, black pepper, and salt. Stir in the tomato paste and cook for about one minute.
Add the crushed tomatoes and beef broth. Simmer uncovered for 8–10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the chili thickens.
Spoon the chili evenly over the hot dogs.
Sprinkle the shredded cheddar over the top.
Bake for 15–20 minutes, until the cheese is melted and the casserole is bubbling. Make sure the food is heated thoroughly.
Rest for 5 minutes, add any desired toppings, and serve warm.
