- 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 2 tbsp cream cheese
- 1 cup almond flour
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1 large egg
- 2 tbsp butter melted
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley chopped (optional)
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Combine shredded mozzarella and cream cheese in a microwave-safe mixing bowl. Microwave for 30-45 seconds, stirring halfway, until smooth.
Quickly mix in almond flour, baking powder, and the egg. Stir until a dough forms. If it’s sticky, knead it briefly with oiled or almond-flour-dusted hands.
Divide the dough into 10-12 portions. Roll each into a rope and tie into a knot. Place on the prepared baking sheet.
Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown.
While baking, mix melted butter, garlic powder, and Parmesan cheese. After baking, brush the warm knots generously with the mixture. Sprinkle parsley for garnish.
