Ingredients
  

  • 1 ½ cups almond flour
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 large egg
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 6 slices bacon cooked and crumbled
  • 1 cup shredded Gruyère or Swiss cheese
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon nutmeg

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a pie dish.
  • Make the crust by mixing almond flour, melted butter, egg, and salt. Press into the dish and pre-bake for 10 minutes.
  • Prepare the filling by whisking eggs, heavy cream, salt, pepper, and nutmeg.
  • Assemble by adding crumbled bacon and shredded cheese to the crust, then pour the egg mixture over it.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the center is set. Let cool slightly before slicing.
