Ingredients

  • 2 cups 240 g self-rising flour
  • 2 cups approximately 490 g plain nonfat Greek yogurt
  • Up to 1 tablespoon 8 g additional flour for dusting, only as needed

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Place the self-rising flour in a large mixing bowl. Add the Greek yogurt.
  • Stir until a shaggy dough forms and no large dry patches remain.
  • Lightly flour your hands and work surface. Knead the dough for 2–3 minutes, using as little additional flour as possible.
  • Shape into a round loaf approximately 6–7 inches wide and place on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Score a shallow cross on top with a sharp knife.
  • Bake for 35–45 minutes, until golden and cooked through. The center should reach approximately 200–205°F (93–96°C).
  • Cool for 5 minutes on the baking sheet, then transfer to a wire rack and cool for at least 30 minutes.
  • Slice into 8 equal portions and serve.
