- 4 medium russet potatoes
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp onion powder
- Salt & pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp Parmesan cheese optional
- Fresh parsley or chives optional garnish
Wash and scrub potatoes well, then pat dry.
Place potato on cutting board, cut vertically into slices 1/4-inch apart, leaving 1/2 inch uncut at bottom. Rotate 90° and repeat to form crosshatch bloom.
Mix olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Brush mixture generously over and inside cuts.
Preheat air fryer to 190°C (375°F).
Place potatoes bloom-side up in basket. Cook for 25–28 minutes, checking tenderness at 20 minutes.
For extra crispness, raise temp to 200°C (400°F) for last 3 minutes.
Sprinkle Parmesan in last 2 minutes if using.
Garnish with parsley or chives, serve hot.
