Ingredients
  

For the Filling:

  • 1 small onion diced
  • 1 lb (450g) ground beef or lamb
  • 1 garlic cloves minced
  • 1/2 cup  diced zucchini or mushrooms
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1 tsp thyme
  • 1 tsp rosemary
  • Salt and pepper to taste

For the Topping:

  • 1 medium head cauliflower cut into florets
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Steam or boil cauliflower until tender, then blend with butter, cream, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  • Cook onion and garlic in a skillet until fragrant. Add ground meat and cook until browned.
  • Stir in tomato paste, broth, and seasonings. Simmer with vegetables until tender.
  • Spread meat mixture in a baking dish. Top with cauliflower mash and cheese
  • Bake at 375°F for 20 minutes, broiling for a golden crust if desired.
